How much will it cost to upgrade my computer's video card?

I tried to play a new game that i got as a present and when i try ed to it ,it said "device 0 cant run this title. Your video card doesn't appear to support at least Shader Model 2. Please upgrade you video card ..

so now i need to know how much it will cost to get my computer's video card upgraded ...(plz help)|||Depends on what card you choose. They can range from as little as $30 to as high as $800.

Do note that you may be required to purchase a new PSU, depending on the card you get. Some of them draw so much more power than others that not all PSUs can supply them with enough power.

What game is it? What motherboard slot connectors do you have available for a new card? They come in different flavors. From PCI to AGP to PCI Express. You'll need to know what you have in order to get the right one.|||It depends..first you have to know whats your PSU, CPU etc.|||1. decide the budget

2. check your motherboard and processor. If it using 4 core and has pci express X16 ver 2, then its safe for you to use any gpu (vga) up to $200 value. If not, use below $100. I assume your cpu not worth using $200 above card since the present gpu (vga) don't even have shader model 2.

3. Buy the max your budget can allow. (considering the budget i mention above). If you confuse choosing between what type of chipset is best value, compare the performance of your selected card through this website

good luck

Good luck|||Shader model 2 is very old so any 40 pound graphics card will be able to do that. HOWEVER if you do want to be able to play newer games then be prepared to spend 80 maybe even a hundred or more pounds on a graphics card. But then it's all down to what your going to do with it.
