i have a laptop and i want to hook my ps3 up to it i know you can do this with the right cables but i don't have the money now so well a s video cable work form the back of my ps3 were you always hook it up but instead of rca cables coming form it a s video cable and hook the s video cable to my laptop cas that's all that's on my laptop i don't have rca hook ups so well that work thanks|||You cannot use your laptop screen to display your PS3 unless you have a capture card. There's no way of doing it.
The video connections on a laptop are OUTPUT only, and used to plug the laptop into a TV/Monitor.
You can however plug a PS3 into a standard PC monitor (as long as it has a DVI connection) using a HDMI->DVI adapter or cable.
